2007 GUFC Urban Forestry Awards
Georgia Urban Forest Council awarded Excellence in Urban Forestry Awards at its 17th Annual Awards Program on November 1, 2007 at the Rome Forum. These awards are presented to individuals and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding service toward the preservation and enhancement of our urban forests. Grand Award recipients were presented with a framed, limited-edition print of Rome’s September Elm Tree, located in historic Myrtle Hill Cemetery, commissioned exclusively for this year’s event by artist Barry Nehr. Merit Award winners were presented with a handsome plaque for their achievements.
