Basic Tree Care Workshop 2009
GUFC sponsored a Basic Tree Care Workshop on February 20 at the Dalton Utilities Conference Room, Kris Thomas, Landscape Director for the City of Dalton, instructing. In addition to a talk on tree biology, tree planting, and tree maintenance, attendees were treated to a tour of the Dalton Arboretum and an Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony.

Quarterly Educational Programs and Other Workshops
Best Trees for the Urban Landscape and Sustainability in the Urban Forest at GUFC’s First Quarterly Program on January 22 at the Classic Center in Athens. This program was held in conjunction with the Georgia Green Industry Association’s Wintergreen Show.
