Mitchell County Courthouse Grove

The six live oaks of the Mitchell County Courthouse are approximately 150 years old, with dbh ranging from 46" to 74". The land on which the trees and courthouse are located was given to the County on the mid 1800s by David West. The Courthouse was built in 1858. The trees are protected by the City of Camilla's Tree Ordinance.
